The new Hartford development New Samaritan Parkville, breaks ground

Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, New Samaritan Corporation, HUD, and the state Department of Housing to broke ground on a new affordable senior housing community at 126 New Park Ave. in Parkville. The new development, known as New Samaritan Parkville, will consist of 22 one-bedroom units, occupied by individuals 62 years of age or older with incomes below the 50% AMI threshold, according to the city The project was funded by HOME funds from the City of Hartford and State of Connecticut, along with a HUD Section 202 Capital Advance and PRAC rental subsidy, and contributions from New Samaritan Corporation.
