The Boston Bruins are getting the gang back together, signing captain Patrice Bergeron and center David Krejci — both members of their 2011 Stanley Cup championship team — to one-year deals on Monday. - The New York Rangers have agreed to a contract with winger Kaapo Kakko.
- The Hartford Wolf Pack will begin their 26th AHL season with a pair of road games against the division rival Charlotte Checkers on Oct. 14 and 15. This marks the first time since the 2014-15 season that the Wolf Pack will start on the road. Hartford released its full schedule for the 2022-23 season Thursday.
- Jim Montgomery has a lot of work to do to prepare for his first season as the Boston Bruins’ head coach. He knew just where to start: by reaching out to captain Patrice Bergeron to make sure the five-time Selke Award winner will be back in a Bruins uniform for a 19th season.
