Manchester Library hosting board games, acoustic music, more

Manchester — MANCHESTER – Manchester Public Library, 586 Main St., is hosting the following programs. Visit or call 860-645-0821 for more information.

The Silk City Board Game Group will meet at noon Saturday, Aug. 6. Volunteers will teach Burncycle, Cubitos, Red Rising, Tournament at Camelot, Innovations, Alchemists and more. This is a free program for adults. No registration is required.


The Manchester Public Library presents Switchfire at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, an evening of live acoustic music with singer Amiee Ames and Guitarist Joe III. This acoustic duo will be playing oldies, rock, country and more at Whiton Branch Library, 100 North Main St.

At 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, an anchor string art craft with The Walking Sun will take place. Create a string art craft in the shape of an anchor with materials from The Walking Sun. Registration is required for this free event for adults and is limited to the first 15 people. Call 860-645-0821 to reserve a spot.
