Enfield Library hosting storytime, movies, cookbook club

The Enfield Public Library will host ‘Storytimes in the Park’ at different parks in town throughout the summer. The first storytime will be held at Wallop School Park on Neelans Road. Join Miss Kim for stories & songs on Monday, July 11, at 2 p.m. Bring a blanket.

Camp Ocean will take place on Tuesday, July 12, at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Sharky, the snaggle-toothed camp counselor from Traveling Lantern Theater Company, will take children on a fish-fact-filled voyage. Free tickets are available at https://tinyurl.com/2p8ae8fv for children ages four and up.

On Tuesday, July 12, at 6:30 p.m., Rhyme Time, a half hour of nursery rhymes and songs, will take place. This is a drop-in program designed to promote early language skills for ages birth to 24 months, accompanied by parents or caregivers.

Crafty Wednesday will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13. Paint and decorate a birdhouse. Free tickets are available for children ages four and up. Visit https://tinyurl.com/2p9jfxj5 to register.

The Taste Testers Cookbook Club invites all home cooks and culinary aficionados to join. July’s cookbook selection is “Cook with Me: 150 Recipes for the Home Cook” by Food Network Icon Alex Guarnaschelli. Stop by the reference desk to pick a recipe, prepare it, and bring it in to share on Thursday, July 14, at 1 p.m. Participants are asked to bring their own plates and flatware.

Enjoy simple stories, songs, fingerplays, open play and art for your one-year-old on Friday, July 15, at 9:30 a.m. Waddling Ones is an early literacy program designed for you and your child ages 12 to 24 months. This is a drop-in program.

Over the Hedge will be shown on the library lawn at 9 p.m. Friday, July 15. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. The movie will take place indoors at 6:30 p.m. if it rains.

Warehouse Point Library hosting movie days

EAST WINDSOR – Movies are back at the Warehouse Point Library, 107 Main St., this July. The schedule features Top Gun on July 12 and Father Stu on July 26.

Tuesday afternoon movies begin at 1 p.m. and popcorn will be served. Call 860-623-5482 for more information.
