Chance for morning showers

After our recent heat wave, it’s kind of hard to believe that any year could have avoided having a heat wave, but it is even harder to believe that 1920 didn’t have a single 90-degree day.

The highest temperature was 89 degrees. We will be lucky to finish this season without another 90-degree day, but it is possible.

Near term, an area of low pressure will pass by just south of the state Thursday, causing morning clouds and the chance for a few showers, then the sky will become partly sunny in the afternoon with high temperatures in the 80s. It will be humid with dew points in the 60s.
